Technological Information

CLYR takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, theft, alteration, destruction, and disclosure in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Service at clyr.co/terms. These precautions include Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on web pages where certain types of personal information is encountered; therefore, you must use a 128-bit SSL-enabled web browser to use certain CLYR services. There are certain steps you can take to enhance your security while using CLYR and other online services, including selecting strong passwords and changing them often, and using a secure and updated browser. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee security at any time. If you have any questions about security on our website, you can contact us at clyr.co. CLYR, like many online software and service providers, may use cookies and other technologies to enable us to understand how our users interact with our website and to customize our users’ experiences with CLYR. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We may use both or either session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. Session cookies may be used by CLYR to identify you after your login credentials authorize your access to your account data. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. CLYR may use persistent cookies to provide you with certain conveniences such as remembering previous choices you have elected, as well as to collect anonymous page visit analytics. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” directory. If you choose to disable cookies (in accordance with the procedures as outlined at your web browser developer’s website), certain functions of the site may not be available to you. We may also employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on webpages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. CLYR, like most website operators, also gathers additional information to store in log files, which may include Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, Internet Service Provider (ISP) information, your browser type, operating system, clickstream data, date/time information and referring and exiting page data. We use this additional information to perform functions such as administering CLYR, granting access, analyzing usage trends, gathering group demographic information, and following usage patterns throughout the website. The use of tracking technologies by our service providers or other technology partners on the site is not covered by our privacy policy. These 3rd parties may use cookies, clear gifs, images, and scripts to help them better manage their content on our site.  We do not have access or control over these technologies. Our website includes social media features, such as Facebook, Twitter, and/or Pinterest buttons and widgets. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it. Due to the way we collect information, we may not be able to honor Do Not Track requests from web browsers at this time.
